Sacred Sound & Breathwork

Sound Bath

Overview, Who Is It For, and What To Expect During Your Session

Sound Bath

A Sound Bath is an immersive healing experience in which participants are "bathed" in the resonant frequencies produced by instruments such as Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, drums, and chimes. Sound has been used in healing traditions across every ancient culture — from Tibetan monasteries to Aboriginal Australia — as a means of shifting consciousness and restoring harmony within the body.

Modern research supports what ancient healers knew intuitively: sound frequencies interact with the body at a cellular level, entraining brainwaves, reducing cortisol, and promoting deep parasympathetic nervous system activation. A Sound Bath can move you from a state of stress and fragmentation into profound rest, integration, and clarity.

Who is Sound Bath for?

Sound Baths are accessible to virtually everyone. They are particularly sought by those dealing with anxiety, chronic stress, insomnia, PTSD, grief, or burnout. They are also powerful tools for those deepening meditation practice or seeking heightened states of awareness and creativity.

What is Sound Bath beneficial for?

  • Brainwave entrainment into deep meditative states
  • Nervous system reset and parasympathetic activation
  • Release of stored tension and emotional armoring
  • Improved sleep quality and depth
  • Reduction of anxiety and mental chatter
  • Heightened states of clarity and creative insight

What to expect in a Sound Bath session

You will lie or sit comfortably — often with an eye mask, blanket, and props for support. The practitioner will play instruments around and sometimes near or on the body. Sessions unfold in waves of sound and silence. You may experience vivid imagery, emotional release, deep body awareness, or simply profound rest. No experience is needed — you simply receive.

Typical session length: 45–90 minutes
